UNICO
Bituminous flexible support for PIR/PUR rigid panels
It is the lightest Polypropylene version, available in weight of 350 g/m2; thanks to its innovative formulations it shows a flame retardant behaviour. It is a facer suitable mainly for polyurethane panels meant for pitched and flat roofs thermal insulation; the so-made panel is the suitable facer for torchon membrane application, thanks to its resistance to torching and high dimensional stability of the carrier.
The light non woven Polypropylene acts as a marker, helping the correct application of a torch-on membrane: when it disappears due to the heat of the torch it is high time to unroll the membrane over the panel’s surface, given that its bitumen is already melted and is able to adhere together with the melted one of the facer. This facer is mainly used in panels insulating roofs subject to possible surveys, flat walkable roofs, roofs destined to parking areas and roof gardens.
